Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, General Duty of Care, employers must ensure the health, safety and welfare of every person in the workplace and ensure that operators be trained in the safe use of plant and equipment. As a result the EWPA have created telehandler workplace training to help meet these requirements.
What is a Telehandler and What is Telehandler Training in Sydney?
A telescopic handler or telehandler is a versatile type of mobile lifting plant incorporating a telescopic boom fitted with a lifting attachment. The standard means of lifting is by forks, but telehandlers can be fitted with a variety of attachments for different types of loads. The range of attachments that can be used depends upon the design of the particular telehandler, and these can include a jib for lifting freely suspended loads. Telehandlers are also known by a variety of names, including multi-purpose handlers/cranes/tool carriers and telescopic forklifts, as well as common proprietary names. Course Overview
This training will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to safely operate a telehandler with less than 3tonne lifting capacity. Telehandlers with over a 3 tonne lifting capacity will require a WorkCover crane licence.

Outcome
An interim record of training is issued on the day and can be used when operating machinery until you recieve the gold card.

$350 per person (minimum of 2 persons for onsite training)
Course Prerequisite:
Participants must be over 18 years of age, have proof of ID and should understand English to be able to participate in the course fully.
